The Heat Is On

And it not just the soaring temperatures!

I have been off work almost 5 months...and I still have not conquered my sewing room(s) in the basement. To refresh your memory, they look something like this:
Corner of basement

Filled Shelves

Waiting to be sorted...
I will be starting back to work in about 2 weeks. Is it possible for me to make significant progress in my sewing room and have things organized enough I can move all my sewing paraphernalia back where it belongs?  And have the double bonus of sewing in the coolest area of the house.
La-la-la...so happy to be sewing!

I need to set some goals for myself. This week, despite social obligations, I am going to attempt to spend at least 2 hours each day figuring out what goes where.  I know I am going to need another  shelf for bins...and some clear bins.  I'm not sure how I am going to wrangle those, but I will!

But in the meantime, I shall:

And, you, my dear followers, will have a front row seat to the decluttering!

Yes, I am going to DOCUMENT my efforts with pictures!!
I just hope I don't lose my head, trying to  declutter!

Until tomorrow,
Keep your pieces right sides together!!

  3. Oh my goodness, you have my support. I'll be cheering you on. You go but take some time to just look each day at what you accomplished.

  4. Deb we are all rooting for you. I have some hope that if you can do this, so can I. Also, if you discover some bits of fabric, thread, patterns, etc. which you want to get rid of, check out the website mysewingbooty.com. You can list and sell things there for FREE. is that cool or what?

  5. Decluttering going at it's own pace - and you are doing fine:) With only two weeks to go until you return to work - do what makes you happy and as above: breathe!

Love your picks - where did the vintage singer/home sewing pic come from? I would love to find original source.

    Cheers from Australia
